Membership Registration

Membership in the Iowa Watercolor Society is open to any Iowa resident age 18 years or over.  Beginners, amateurs, seasoned professionals, or just interested observers are welcome to join the organization. 

​

As a member, you will learn tips about art, painting, how to prepare for juried shows, and just more-and-more about the world of watercolor. You will receive digital newsletters throughout the year; a link to our membership directory; and the Annual Exhibit Call for Entries, as well as the Exhibition Booklet. The sponsored workshops bring together watercolor artists of all levels who have the common goal of improving their art. The enthusiastic, hands-on instruction gives everyone the desire to Paint Boldly! Take a risk! Step back and see what happens!

 

Benefits of Membership in the Iowa Watercolor Society

 

1. Members are eligible to exhibit in the annual juried exhibition with no entry fees.

2. Members can register for IWS-sponsored workshops ahead of the general public.

3. The organization hosts at least two workshops per year with member priority registration.

4. Members receive newsletters and e-mails with information and announcements about IWS and member activities, and opportunities for members.

5. Members can publicize their exhibitions, workshops and web sites in the IWS newsletter, e-mails, and web site.

6. Members can post their watercolor-related news, photos, and announcements on the IWS Facebook page or IWS administrators will provide this service.

7. The organization publicizes exhibitions to art museum curators, art gallery owners and managers, and art association directors.

8. The organization publicizes its events to statewide and local, on its web site and Facebook page, on TravelIowa.com, and through other social media outlets.

Dues are as follows:

Student Member- Must be in Highschool or College $25

Participating Member: $35.00 
Patron Member: $55.00 or more
Lifetime Member: $300
